MOM
'Mom'
existed for several months (or maybe just one afternoon) in the late 80s,
two thirteen year old girls who booked the school music room (otherwise
the site of daily humiliations) after-hours and were getting carried away
in our Berlin punk underground-fantasy world. In our only ever 'recording
session' we got it wrong with the pause button on the tape recorder and
accidently recorded everything between songs; the banter of our alter
egos, the arguments and snickering, interruptions from bewildered teachers
(we were eventually ejected from the room to make way for a chamber music
class), trying things out with the instruments we couldn't play, but never
the actual songs.
